My Robot Arwork now as a playing card!

So about a month ago I joined this art contest where you pick a playing card & design something relevant to that card. I submitted a really cute robot that had 3 hearts on his chest, for the 3 of hearts card. I am excited to say that he ahs been chosen & will be on a deck of artist playing cards that will be for sale! The site is called Custom 52 (we are playing without a full deck), which is by far supremely wittyI think! Custom 52 is an Online Community that uses playing cards as their canvas, entries are graded by your peers & only the strong will survive!!!

The top design for each playing card will be chosen to go to print & a deck of the top submissions will be produced & go on sale for the world to enjoy. How freaking cool! So here is a snapshot of all Deck 2's artwork that will be available on a deck of cards. Purchase them from the Custom52 website!

Cycle 3 is going on now, so if you got some creativity in you that you wanna let loose...now is the time!

Happy Holidays and Have a great New Year! See ya on the flip side ;)

So 2 features in 1 day! First teh Girl Geek Blog and now Sabet TV has featured one of my heart illustrations! All I can say ladies and gentlemen is that I am honored & very excited for this.

I just found the Sabet TV site yesterday and was instantly drawn in by the community and creativity going on there. YOu can create your own gallery and portfolio of work for others to see, people can comment on your designs, and you can do the same for other people.

It's not only a great artist networking site, but it also has a plethra of other art links all over the site that take you to other various art & design places.

I have to tell you that this site is one of my newest favs. If you haven't heard about it yet, go by and check it out, you'll be glad you did!

Zazzle’s got a new look and a new logo! This looked really fun and they are having some really great prizes and you get to show off your design skillz! Basically they wantes to see how you can use the Zazzle logo with your design to make the best take-the-cake contest entry!

Here is my entry. Feel free to click on it to go to the Zazzle page where it is at, vote, comment on it, and even purchase it if you like!

Now Zazzle is alot like Cafepress, only they have an artist community that votes on your designs and you can join a fan club or someone can join yours. Very good for enhancing your skills and networking with other artists. Plus I love their printing on t-shirts, very good indeed!

Wowza it's been to long!

Holy Moly! I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while...er ages ;) I had ALOT, and I mean ALot of things happen in my life recently, all positive, that has been taking all my time.

First good news is that I signed a contract with a company in Asia to sell some of my t-shirt designs! Who Hoo! I will post more on that once eveything becomes public, such as the website & whatnot.

I also quit my job, b/c it was stressing me out & taking up WAY too much of my time & life.Yes I did get a new one, doing the same thing (designing Interface Menus for Video Games), but hopefully it will be better for me in those areas I mentioned were bad.

OK so there are other things going on, but I did promise some Tattoo designs if I recall. :)

So feel free to drop me a line & let me know what you think. If you are interested in purchasing these designs on a shirt or any other item please visit my site HERE!

New T-shirt Design @ Bountee.com

Hey peeps! I have recently been inspired by my daily walk downtown & my many rides on the good ol' Chicago El Train...especially late at night! ;)

So I did a new design in Illustrator, all vector graphics, and have put it up on a brand new site calle Bountee. If you haven't yet checked this site out you really should. It's like CafePress, but seems to draw alot more urban undergrund artist to its website..kind of like threadless, but they don't own your copyright to you designs. So I give it 2 big girly thumbs up! Check my side links to get to their website.

Anyways here is my design! Let me know what you think & oh yeah, if you are thinking of buying one you'd better hurry they are a limited edition item!

Long time no see!

Hey everyone!

I am here and just want to say sorry for not updating lately! I've had some"life events" that weren't too fun and knocked the wind out of me for about a month.

I have been working though on new fine art pieces that I hope to get into a gallery soon. Now I can't say too much, but the pieces are done on clayboard using gauche paint, pen, and some really cool techniques.

Now I did tell you that I do have other inspirations than my dogs, and as you can see in my pict that I have tattoos. So what do you think my inspiration was for my new pieces? Can you figure it out?

Buckey the Keeshond Illustration

This is a Keeshond illustration I did for a good friend of mine. He is always helping me out with watching my dogs when I go out of town, so I wanted to do something really nice for him :)

This illustration was done in Illustrator and then we had it printed on 24x36 canvas & framed. All I had to work with was an old photo of the dog, the background I did completely by taking picts of different compostions and picking the best one that fit with the dogs pose.

I highly recommend if you have never had an image printed on canvas to try it, it looks AMAZING!

We had it printed at Canvas on Demand. All you do is uplaod your image, pick the size you want it printed at and choose a frame. Easy! They also have some cool color options for you to choose from for a more dramatic look.

Alright lets get started. Funky, hip & Urban Bulldog Illustration.

So lets see, what should I show you first? I'm thinking I might show you a design I just recently finished. I wanted to update my CafePress website, but I wanted to do another funky urban design that was dog related. Im calling it Projekt Dog, as I plan on doing a whole series of these with different breeds. So here it is:
I really like what i did with this design & can see it on so many items it's not even funny. My inspiration? Well of course the bulldog, but also old vintage playing cards and the realization that people that love dog art need something that isn't always cutsie bubble gum factory.

Uraban & hip is what this image represents. So fear no longer people laughing at your drab bullog shirt, a new era has arrived!!! Check it out in the BarkArt store.

;)
